Notably, Brandon pursued his academic passion, earning both bachelor's and master's degrees in Jazz Studies from Michigan State University. Here, he honed his skills on the upright bass and honed his expertise in composition and arranging.

Brandon Rose's journey has been enriched by the mentorship of renowned bass legends like Marcus Miller and Rodney Whitaker, who have profoundly influenced his musical style and technique. As a masterful doubler of both electric and acoustic bass, Brandon has had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed artists such as Lukas Graham, Keyon Harrold, Patrice Rushen, Terri Lynn Carrington, Dan Wilson, and Etienne Charles, among others. His exceptional contributions can be heard on Dan Wilson's latest album, "Things Eternal," released on the prestigious Mack Avenue Records label.
